Shore Excursions
for large and small groups
YOUR OWN PRIVATE
TAILOR-MADE TOUR
IN A PRIVATE LUXURY VEHICLE OR YOUR OWN COACH
Private guided shore excursions from Liverpool
If you are arriving in Liverpool by luxury cruise liner then you are already winning at life, as this is the best way to arrive in the city and see the historic waterfront, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You are arriving the same way as thousands of mariners have in the centuries before you and hopefully with the same sense of expectation with which they landed.
So next, you need to maximise your time on shore. If you don't like to be herded from place to place but to take your time, if you want the luxury to select the sights YOU want to see or to seek out some of the city's more hidden treasures then maybe a private chauffeur-driven tour with your own Blue Badge guide is for you. In your luxury vehicle, you can decide where to go and choose to stay longer (or even for less time) at each site. You have the full attention of your professional, qualified guide who has trained for a year and taken a series of nationally recognised exams before being enrolled as a Member of the Institute of Tourist Guides, and allowed to add M.I.T.G. to their name. You can sit back and relax in your comfortable vehicle with an experienced driver whilst you take in the views of the city or further afield.
Your visit can be centred on the main sights of Liverpool, or have a Beatles theme or be a mixture of both. You can visit the C16 timbered Speke Hall or one or both of the city's cathedral for a private tour with your guide. For art-lovers why not take a highlights tour of the Walker Art Gallery. Alternatively, cross the river to the beautiful garden village of Port Sunlight and its Lady Lever Art Gallery, which has national status or continue to the walled Roman town of Chester. For those with specialised interests, there are also tours available on the theme of the Titanic or the cult TV programme "Peaky Blinders" much of which has been filmed in Liverpool and the North-West.
Usually your tour will take place in a luxury Mercedes vehicle or similar, seating up to 5 people in addition to the driver and guide. Costs depends on distance to be travelled and availability of driver and vehicles but as a very rough guide would be around £380 - £400 for 4 hours and £655 - £685 for full day tours plus any admission charges. Enquire for an exact quote - other tour lengths available.
Larger groups can be accommodated on board mini coaches or if you have a very large group, the guide can board your coach and follow your itinerary. Enquire for costs.
